We are just a bunch of folks who like to mess about in boats. 

History

SmallYachts original vision was to save 20' to 30' sailboats from neglect.  Our company has successfully accomplished this with several boats and we will soon be finishing the last two candidates.  Since then, Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jean have opened up new fields of endeavor.

Future Goals

Shortly after purchasing what was to be the next candidate for our refurbishment and sales project, I became very intriqued by the material the boat was made of. Plastic Cement?  The boat had been sitting on the hard for five years, her cabin top and sides were beat from the sun, but the hull was remarkable.  I made 4 trips down to see  her before I made the offer.  I knew she was going to be a solid boat, but I did not know just how solid until after Hurricane Frances in Sept of 2004.

To make a long story short, we now own the rights to manufacture Fer-A-Lite and Wire Plank material for the construction and repair of Ferro based boats.  As a result, SmallYachts is now in the repair and construction field of boats made from this excellent material.  For more information on Fer-A-Lite go to www.fer-a-lite.com
